ABOUT

ABOUT

Reed Orchards is a family owned orchard nestled in the hills of Harrison County in Freeport, Ohio founded in 1991 by Evan and Margaret Reed. Reed Orchards sits on over 96 acres of land with over 50 acres of apple and hardwood trees throughout the Deersville and Freeport area encompassing three different locations. With over 30 different species of apples and peach trees, the orchard stays busy year round. Evan Reed was a retired science teacher who found great love with the fruitful gift from Mother Nature. Evan was a member of the Fruit Growers Association of Ohio, where he received certification spending countless hours studying with The Ohio State University Extension in Columbus, Ohio while attending seminars where he obtained vast agricultural knowledge. In turn, Reed Orchards became a successful operation for over 30 years and going strong.

Reed Orchards does not use chemicals and is currently working on obtaining organic certification through the Department of Agriculture. We are proud of our crop and take pride in our apples and peaches!  Give us a try!
